Accident Probe Should Be Independent

In the wake of the West Virginia coal disaster April 5, both state and federal authorities have indicated they will conduct probes of the disaster. These are on top of one the company, Massey Energy, is also legally required to complete. The avowed purpose of each is to get to the bottom of the tragedy to prevent another one like it from happening again.
