A Kentucky coal mine that was forced to close temporarily following an MSHA inspection has shut down again.

According to MSHA’s database, K and D Mining, Inc.’s No. 17 Mine in Harlan County went into nonproduction status June 22.  No information was immediately available on whether the closure would be temporary or permanent.
