An MSHA inspector arrested in Eastern Kentucky June 3 after a traffic accident told the arresting officer that “he is ‘the federal government.’ ”

The statement was contained in an arrest citation written by a Pikeville Police officer following a one-car accident involving Jason T. Skeens, 37, of Pikeville, according to the Appalachian News-Express.  “[Skeens] stated he works with ATF, FBI and is a law enforcement officer just like we are,” Officer Jason Lawson wrote, according to the newspaper.
