Cement Plant Worker Dies in New York

An employee of a cement plant in New York State was killed after being struck by a front-end loader Monday night.

Police identified the victim as Michael T. Corbett, 51, of Moreau.  Corbett, a shift operator, was found unconscious at about 8:30 p.m. by a co-worker on the grounds of the mill at the Glens Falls Plant in Warren County.  The facility is operated by Lehigh Northeast Cement Co., a subsidiary of Heidelberg Cement, AG.

According to police, Corbett was taken to Glens Falls Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the Glens Falls Post-Star reported.
